Ca. 20 Meilen oestlich von Ridgecrest (nahe Death Valley) auf der 178. Abfahrt Pinnacle Road

Von hier aus sind es nur wenige Meilen bis zu den Formationen. Fahrt auf einer Gravel Road welche auch zu befahren sind mit einem Pkw. Bitte vorher Wetter pruefen und die Strassenkonditionen.

Wieviel Zeit sollte man einplanen? Ein langer Aufenthalt ist nicht noetig. Die Formationen sind recht ueberschaubar. Eine Rundfahrt mit Auto machbar und kurze Hikes zwischen und auf den Formationen machbar.
Weiterfahrt ueber eine Sandstrasse in den Sueden ist nicht notwendig, da nur noch die Wueste auf einen dort wartet.

ca. 20 miles East of Ridgecrest (Death Valley) on 178. Look for the sand road to your right Pinnacle Road. GPS: 35.68020, 117.39476
From here you just have like 2 miles to the Pinnacles. Please check weather and road conditions ahead.
How much time should you plan? Well, not much if you do not really want to. The formations are not that big and you can easily drive around, but also hike a bit. There is no need to go any further south as I was told that only the dessert awaits you.

Der Boden hier erinnert mich an den von Badwater im Death Valley. Es riecht etwas genauso und bricht unter den Fuessen wie am Badwater.
It reminds me of Badwater in Death Valley. It smells like it and also cracks under your feet.
