Re-visited New York for a week. This time I had of course better weather than back in 2007 over christmas and New Years. I stayed with my lovely family friends up in Briar Cliff Manor. Enjoyed the company in their beautiful home.

The first day I spent my rainy day at a Outlet. On friday I went to Manhattan by train. It took my like 40 minutes from Scarborough Station to Grand Central Station.
View from the station
During the week, you can use the back exit avoiding the crowd within Grand Central Station.
New York Public Library was established in 1895 and is the second biggest one in the United States and the third largest one in the world.
The famous Papaya Dog. It serves only breakfast in the morning, so no hot dogs before lunch time!
The Empire State Building
While crossing the street, this lady came along with her cute dog. The police woman could not hold herself any longer. She started to cuddle it.

On my way to CONEY ISLAND
Coney Island is home to the Fairs with Cyclone Roller Coaster, Denos Wonder Wheel, well more than 50 rides along the boardwalk. Try also one of the best
hot dogs offered by Nathan’s. They are in the progress of building Nathan’s close by the Coney Island Station. The attractions are closed during the week.
I went on a friday and had the chance to take some pictures without the crowds.
Still cleaning up what Hurricane Sandy brought in. Buildings got fixed up, the sand has to be shoveld away by hand.
Enjoying my lunch at Nathan’s
Walking the other way back to the Coney Island Station did not feel so safe nor attractive. I guess tourists should stick to the fair at the boardwalk.
