Auf der “Valley Blvd.” soll es das beste chinesische Essen geben. Auf der nur 1 1/2 Meilen langen Strasse reihen sich ueber 100 Geschaefte und Restaurants (vietnamesisch, mexikanisch, italienisch und chinesisch).
There is a great chinese restaurant on Valley Blvd. which is only 1.5 mile long, but offers more than 100 shops and restaurants (vietnamese, mexican, italian and chinese).

Der kleine Ort lockt mit seinen historischen Gebaeuden. Es ist eine kleine Stadt, aber nett anzusehen. Hier habe ich nur um 2 min. in einem Fotoladen “Friends” Star “Joey” Matt LeBlanc, der hier ein Foto fuer sein Haus kaufte.
This small town is only worth a visit if you are already in the area (Los Olivos, Santa Ines, Solvang). It still has the old fashioned houses.
Once I missed meeting Matt LeBlanc (from TV Series Friends) in a photoshop. I was told that he had bought a picture and that he told the shop owner that he wants to domiciliate at a ranch close by.

In Santa Maria Valley wurden viele bekannte Filme gedreht wie “Fluch der Karibik”, “GI Jane”, “The Rocketeer”.
Einige behaupten, dass die Legende von Zorro auf das Leben des Solomon Pico beruht, der ein moerderischer Bandit war, der in den Santa Maria Hills sein Lager aufgeschlagen habe. Bis heute klettern die Leute in die Solomon Hills hoch, um nach den Schaetzen zu suchen, die Solomon Pico hier angeblich vergraben haben soll.
Many movies such as “Pirates of the Caribean”, “GI Jane” and “The Rocketeer” were filmed in the Santa Maria Valley. Some people still believe that the legend of Zorro is based on the life of Solomon Pico, a murderous bandit who got a hidden place in the Santa Maria Hills. Till today, people crawl up the Solomon Hills in search of treasures which Solomon Pico might have left.
