Look closer. You can see the Hollywood Sign from this place.

Das Highland Center hat diverse Shops und Restaurants wie Sushi, French Crepe (suesse und deftige, sehr lecker),
Johnny Rockets (Diner), Highland Club, etc.
The Highland Center offers shops and restaurants and even the Highland Club.
I can recommend the Sushi place on the last floor as well French Crepe.

French Crepe is my FAVORITE

Ein kleiner Blick auf den Hollywood Blvd. vom Highland Center aus:
Einfach in den 4. Stock hochlaufen oder -fahren und am French Crepe rechts vorbeilaufen gen Hollywood Blvd. Man hat von hier oben einen kleinen Blick auf den Hollywood Blvd. und Umgebung. Von hier aus wirft man einen Blick zurueck zum Highland Center wo man zwischen den grossen Fassaden (Aegyptische
Figuren), links von den grossen zwei  Elefantenskulpturen (sieht man alles wenn man vor Ort ist und wird die Beschreibung verstehen), das Hollywood Sign in klein sieht. Es ist weit weg. Aber es zieht trotzdem viele Leute an.
On the last floor you should go to the front facing the Hollywood Blvd. From there you have a nice view of LA Downtown and the Hollywood Blvd. with the “stars”.

Wenn man das Highland Center zum Hollywood Blvd. hin verlaesst, kommt gleich links die Metro Rail Station.
Die Metro ist nur 120 km lang, dafuer ist die Fahrkarte guenstiger als in anderen US Staetten. Die Metro soll seit 1990 nur 5 Linien haben wobei nur die Red Line und Purple Line eine richtige U-Bahn sind. Die anderen sind nur Stadtbahnstrecken. Um die 290 000 Fahrgaeste taeglich soll sie befoerdern.
If you are leaving the Highland Center on Hollywood Blvd. and then turning left, you will hit the Metro Railstation right away. The metro is only 120 km long which is quite short but it is cheaper than other US metros. It only has 5 lines. The Red Line and Purple Line are the rapid transit subway lines and the other threes are only light rail lines. It is said that it transports about 290 000 people each day.

Rechts davon gibt es die Klamottengeschaefte American Eagle Outfitters und GAP. Gleich an der Ecke ist man schon an der Highland Ave.
Aber bevor wir ueber diese Strasse laufen, schauen wir uns nochmal die andere Seite des Hollywood Boulevards an. Zurueck zum Roosevelt Hotel!
Right of it are the two shops American Eagle Outfitters and GAP. Then you are already at the corner of Highland Ave. and Hollywood Blvd. Before we are crossing the street, we go back and have a look at the other side of Hollywood Blvd. starting from Roosevelt Hotel just opposite of Madame Tussauds.

Auf dieser Strassenseite gibt es wiederum Shops, Coffee Bean und Fast Food wie Baja Fresh.
On this side of the streets you will find again shops, Coffee Bean and fast foods such as Baja Fresh.

HOOTERS
muss nicht nur was fuer NUR Maenner und Sportfans sein. Viele kommen nicht nur mit ihren Kumpels her, sondern auch mit Freundin oder Frau und sogar mit ihren minderjaehrigen Kindern. Das Essen ist okay und der Kaesekuchen um so besser.
I have learned that Hooters is not only for men and sport freaks. Guys are not only coming with their buddies, but also with their girlfriend or wife and even with their underaged kids. The food is okay, but the dessert is great.

Vor Filmvorfuehrung erhalten die Zuschauer ein kurzes Orgelkonzert.. Ich fand es ganz lustig :=)
Until everybody is seated and till the movie starts, the organist plays on the golden organ. It is then followed by a Disney Show such as seen on the second picture. I tought it is funny. :0)

Links vom El Capitan befindet sich praktischerweise das Disney Store! Der Shop ist meist mit den Souvenirs des gerade laufenden Films bestueckt.
In Maerz 2010: Ich habe Tickets zu dem neuen Tim Burton Film “Alice in Wonderland” mit Johnny Depp. Hierzu wurden sogar Tickets fuer den Film in Verbindung mit einer Tee Party im Disney Store bzw. in dem Disney “Restaurant” angeboten.
Left of the theatre you’ll find the Disney Store & “Restaurant”. The shop offers mostly things from the current movie they are playing in the theatre. March 2010: I bought tickets for Tim Burton’s movie “Alice in Wonderland” starring Johnny Depp. They offered also cominbed tickets, for the movie with a tea party at the Disney “restaurant”. How neat is this?

First, we went to see the movie. Love the theatre as it is a classic one. Today, they had decorated the inside with Alice in Wonderland puppets etc.

During the time of showing the movie you were able to shop everything about the movie Alice in Wonderland!!!

With a bit more, you could book a tea time with Alice and your friends!
