ca 2 miles, easy walk, free parking close to Schindlers house on Kings Road
Parked car on Kings Road and walked up to Schindler House at 835. You will recognize it by the big bamboo. The house is built of concrete and dark stained wood and includes also a big garden
back on Kings Road heading south to Melrose Ave.
next to Schindler’s House is an appartment complex called Habitat 825 which was designed by Lorcan O’Herlihy. He made himself not very popular of designing such a building which towers over Schindler’s house.
turning right on Melrose Ave. seeing across the street the “Mel and Rose” wine store
for the sweet touth under us try out “sweet lady jane”
crossing La Cienega Blvd
The “Urth Cafe” good for the healthy people among us
selling candles and so besides books about zen buddhism
the big blue whale or officially called “Pacific Design Center”. Nicer to see at dark
oversized lamp and chair in front of the Pacific Design Center
across the Pacific Design Center on San Vicente Blvd. you can stroll through the small west hollywood park which also has a swimming pool and tennis court. On the other side is Robertson Blvd. where the world famous and world’s best gay and lesbian bar and club “Abby” is located.
walking north on San Vicente Blvd and turning right on Santa Monica Blvd. which is LA’s famous gay area.
here you can enjoy great food, shopping, cafes, yoghurt ice cream and bars at day and night
pinkberry is a nice yoghurt ice cream shop (I love yoghurtland. it has more falvors and you can mix your own cup)
walking my way back to the car on Kings Road - going from Santa Monica Blvd. right to Romaine Ave.
this is the dog friendly Kings Road Park
